Random yet curated shots — vol. 1

A few weeks ago, I acquired a Fujifilm X100T digital camera. Pretty much since the moment I got it at Southeastern Camera in Carrboro, NC, it’s become my daily driver. None of the images below are from any special outing or photo trip. Every one is the result of me wearing the camera everywhere and making pictures whenever I see a cool scene… even if it’s in my home office or just outside my door.

Of the hundreds of pictures I’ve made with this camera over the last few weeks, I’ve chosen 38 to put into this gallery. They range from being taken several moments after I bought the camera all the way to yesterday and are presented in chronological order. Each one is a JPG taken straight out of the camera with no post production. Most use Fujifilm’s unique film simulations or custom recipes I found online.

** The one of my dog, Mia (with me nicely out of focus in the background) was taken by my son, Ian. He also took the one right after of the overgrown and very green trail.
